Whose watching Log Alert!?

Log Alert! was conceived as a project for a very small group of friends (aka "the maloguas") to share their adventures in stoke, logging, cobbing, working out, eating tacos and other various joneses. Unlike many other social media ventures, Log Alert! was not intentionally designed to go viral, develop a following, or be a platform for proselytizing. That said, its seems that there are some early signs that Log Alert! has developed a few fans; case and point above.

Drizzly logging session last night at the headquarters with the crew, a nice sunset and some clean small rollers. Seriously inspirational session after far too long with the stoke tank on empty. A welcomed change from my last sesshin a few days ago at the shortboard spot at low tide, when I dropped into some waist high slop, slipped off the board and landed on my back on almost dry reef (a pound of flesh left on the reef but nothing serious).

This post at Quality Peoples provides fine examples of stoke, cobbing, and logging. So fine, it made me weak.

First Schedule Four Log Alert of the New Season

On my second to last day staying at Dogmans, I finally was able to sound a Schedule Four Log Alert for Marias. The point was connecting from the rock to the pistons and this logger was never encumbered by more than 4 non-logging surfers in the line-up during the 3+ hour session. One kind soul on a fish loaned me his top in hour two so I could log more hours in the tropical sun and continue to eyecheck. He declared, in so many words, that he was stoked on the lulls as they facilitated eye-checking. These waves facilitated logging interesante!

An Oregon Surfrider jonser just sent around some photos from his recent trip to Ireland. A few caught my eye for understandable reasons. By the looks of these photos, it appears cobb friendly and log friendly. That said, I imagine the weather can be Irish.

Sano Log Alert

On September 24th at 12:17 PM a solo Log Alert was issues at The Point at Sano.

Conditions were ideal: sunny | hot | water temp.=73° | glass |water was amazingly clear | waist high peelers with light crowd. Skip Frye and Alex Knost were spotted enjoying the post-Summer J.

Needless to say, post surf ETN was in effect - no shirt, no shoes, no tapas.

Dennis Ritch, no stranger himself to diesel, accompanied me on this exploration of the Aguadilla coastline. Total distance paddled was approximately 10 miles from Parque Colon to The Wall at Wildo and back past Pressure Point, Wishing Wells, Manglitos, Gas Chambers, Crashboat, Hole in the Wall and downtown Aguadilla and it's skating rink.
